Mike Wojehowski

Mike Wojehowski, Camp Director

Mike Wojehowski enters his 2nd year as a member of 21CS Training Team, serving as Camp Director for our 1st-ever Harrison Area Summer Training Camp.

Wojehowski played baseball at SUNY Binghamton in 1991-92. Prior to college, Wojehowski graduated from Cornwall Central High School in 1991, lettering in baseball and wrestling, having served as team captain for both sports his senior year. Coach Wojehowski is currently finishing his 18th year as an educator for the Yonkers Public Schools. Currently, he teaches 6th grade students and doubles as both a District Scoring Leader for Mathematics and Professional Development Facilitator on a range of topics for colleagues, impressive achievements especially when considering this takes place in N.Y.S.’ 4th largest school district (39 schools!) outside of NYC. Coach “Wojo” also coaches for his son’s little league teams in the spring.

“As we looked to enhance our Training Team this past off-season, we found that Mike’s background in both baseball and education precisely matched one of the profiles we were targeting to acquire”, said Consiglio.  “He’s been a leader on the field as early as his high school days, in multiple sports, and even competed at the collegiate level in a baseball program that was elevated to NCAA Division I status just a few years after his arrival.  More importantly, when we looked at his leadership experience in a variety of educational contexts, it was clear that he exhibited the very kind of leadership and supervisory skills we seek and expect from our Camp Directors.  His ability to effectively lead both staff and campers alike, in addition to communicating with parents, are very important qualities that will help Coach ‘Wojo’ serve in a vital capacity at the grassroots level.”
